MISANO, ITALY – Marc Márquez has⁤ achieved a historic milestone in the 2024 MotoGP season, surpassing all previous point totals since the introduction of the sprint race format in 2023. With 512 points​ secured after 16 of 22 ⁢scheduled Grands ⁣Prix, Márquez has exceeded ​the former record of 508 points held by Jorge‌ Martín in 2023.

This achievement​ underscores Márquez’s dominant ‍performance this ⁣season,⁢ especially as teammate Francesco Bagnaia contends for the championship. Through 16⁢ races, Márquez’s point tally eclipses the 498 points accumulated by pecco Bagnaia, also in 2023, and the 467 points​ that secured Bagnaia the championship⁣ that same year. Jorge Martín finished second in 2023 with 428 points.
