Léa Seydoux Launches Paris Christmas Lights – Eiffel Tower Show Too

Léa⁤ Seydoux‌ to‍ Illuminate Champs-Élysées Christmas Lights in 2024

PARIS ​ – Actress Léa seydoux will officially launch the ⁤annual Christmas lights on ‌the Champs-Élysées in ⁣Paris ⁤on November 16th at 6:30‍ p.m., the Champs-Élysées​ Committee announced Wednesday. The lighting ceremony,a Parisian tradition since⁤ 1980,marks the start of the holiday season and draws tourists from around the globe.

Seydoux will be joined ⁤by ‍children from the Petits Princes association, an organization dedicated to fulfilling the dreams of seriously ill children. This ⁢year’s display, designed by Thierry reboul and utilizing technology from Blachère Illuminations, will feature a special five-minute sparkle⁢ from the Eiffel Tower in response to the‍ avenue’s illumination. canadian artist Charlotte Cardin will⁣ perform her song, Too bad for​ her, during the ⁣event.

The 400 trees lining the Champs-Élysées⁤ will be adorned with lights from november 16th through January 4th, 2026, illuminating‍ nightly from 5 p.m. ⁣to midnight, extending to ‍1 a.m.⁤ on Fridays and ⁤Saturdays. The committee reports the illuminations now consume the energy equivalent of two average French households annually, a reduction achieved through⁢ the use of LED garlands.

Committee president Marc-Antoine Jamet stated ⁣the event⁤ will balance “tradition and​ innovation,modernity and classicism,” and anticipates‍ exceeding the‌ 150,000 spectators reached in 2024,leveraging “television media” ⁣and “social networks” to broaden ⁤the event’s reach.
