KwaZulu-Natal Braces for Warm Temperatures and Potential Fog
DURBAN – KwaZulu-Natal residents can expect continued warm weather this week, with highs reaching 32°C in Richards Bay. While most areas will remain dry and sunny, motorists are advised to exercise caution due to potential fog in higher-lying regions, notably during morning commutes.

Pietermaritzburg will experience a temperature range from a low of 12°C in the morning to a high of 27°C in the afternoon. Richards Bay is predicted to be the warmest location, potentially exceeding 30°C.
“Temperatures across KZN will remain high, particularly along the coast where Richards Bay could exceed 30°C,” Thobela stated.

“Fog is expected in parts of KwaZulu-Natal, especially over the highlands, which could reduce visibility during morning travel,” Thobela noted.
Scattered rainfall is absolutely possible in eastern and inland regions of KZN tomorrow afternoon, but is not expected to be widespread. Following any localized showers, slightly cooler evening conditions are anticipated in those areas.
“While most of KZN will remain dry, light rainfall could develop in the eastern and western parts during the afternoon,” Thobela explained.
