kuwait Crown Prince Leads Delegation to UN General Assembly
NEW YORK - His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, representing His Highness the Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Mishaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, departed for the United States this morning, September 19, 2025, to lead the State of Kuwait’s delegation at the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly. The visit coincides with the 80th anniversary of the United Nations’ founding.
The Kuwaiti delegation will participate in high-level meetings in New York, addressing critical global issues adn reaffirming Kuwait’s commitment to international cooperation. This year’s assembly is particularly meaningful as it marks a milestone for the UN and provides a platform for addressing evolving geopolitical challenges. Accompanying His Highness are Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdullah Ali Al-Yahya and Director General of the Direct Investment Promotion Authority, Sheikh Dr. mishaal Jaber Al-Ahmad al-Jaber Al-Sabah, alongside othre senior officials.
His Highness was seen off at the airport by a number of high-ranking Kuwaiti officials, including Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmed Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, President of the national Guard Sheikh Mubarak hammoud Al-jaber Al-Sabah, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahd youssef Saud Al-Sabah, Minister of Affairs of the Emiri Diwan Sheikh Hamad Jaber Al-Ali Al-Sabah, and President of the Crown Prince Sheikh Thamer Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah.
