‘Killing Floor 3’ Pre-Release Stress Test Announced
Multiplayer stability to be assessed before July 24 release
Get ready to face hordes of Zeds: Tripwire Interactive’s highly anticipated cooperative FPS, Killing Floor 3
, will undergo a PC multiplayer stress test on July 13th, overseas time, to ensure a smooth launch.
Steam Stress Test Details
The stress test aims to stabilize the multiplayer environment prior to the official release. Testers can participate during two windows on July 14th (Japan time): 2am-4am and 6am-8am.
Tripwire Interactive asks that participants refrain from distributing or recording gameplay footage. The duration of the test is subject to change, depending on testing progress.
Participant recruitment is underway via the Steam Store page. Testing is planned for platforms other than PC next week, with details to follow.
Planned Improvements Post-Launch
Several improvements are planned but won’t make the initial release. These include:
- A function allowing all specialists (characters) to select all perks.
- Refinement of weapons and attack animations from a third-party perspective.
- A text chat function within the server.
A known bug list is publicly available.
