Armed Robbery Outside Laurel Supply
The attack occurred around 9 p.m. outside the luxury grocery store Laurel Supply, as reported by TMZ. Two suspects dressed in black approached the actor. One assailant pointed a handgun at Allen while the second brandished a knife, demanding his watch and bracelet. Surveillance footage captured the confrontation, showing one of the suspects repeatedly striking Allen in the head with a firearm before fleeing the scene with his watch.
Allen shared disturbing video footage moments after the incident, displaying blood streaming down his face and onto his clothing. He recounted that the attackers threatened to kill him over the timepiece, stating on social media, My life for a watch.
In subsequent posts, Allen criticized the safety of the area, declaring that West Hollywood is not safe anymore.

Following the attack, Los Angeles County Fire personnel evaluated Allen at the scene. While he was not transported to a hospital by ambulance at that time, he later sought hospital treatment on his own. According to updates published on Saturday, Allen confirmed he was def concussed
and posted an image of his stitched forehead. He wrote on Instagram, Healing. Will update more soon. Thank you to medical team and law enforcement and everyone reaching out.

Sheriff Increases Patrols as Allen Criticizes Leaders
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office confirmed to The Post that their West Hollywood station will increase deputy patrols throughout the city, including the Rainbow District, following the violent encounter. Authorities stated they are utilizing available technology platforms and working alongside the Major Crimes Bureau to identify the suspects.
In the wake of the crime, Allen directed public criticism at California Governor Gavin Newsom and Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass. In an Instagram post, he wrote, Let’s hope all these flock cameras that @karenbassla @gavinnewsom and everyone thinks will stop crime can find these very dangerous criminals. God bless.
While the Los Angeles Police Department and the Mayor’s Office do not hold jurisdictional authority in West Hollywood, Mayor Bass’s office addressed the incident by telling reporters, This is egregious — no one should have to experience something like this. West Hollywood is an independent city, and the LA County Sheriff’s Department is responsible for leading this investigation. LAPD, as always, will assist regional partners as needed to ensure bad actors are held accountable.
Privacy Concerns Cloud Use of Flock Cameras
The role of automated license plate reading technology in the investigation remains uncertain. Officials have not clarified whether investigators will deploy Flock cameras to track down the suspects. The technology has faced considerable debate across California regarding privacy concerns and data sharing with federal immigration authorities, prompting agencies like the LAPD to suspend their contracts with the provider in July amid ongoing contract negotiations.

Authorities reported that a separate, unrelated incident occurred in the area on the same morning, though investigators confirmed it had no connection to the robbery involving Allen. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department continues its search for the two suspects.
