The Abu Dhabi Festival, within its twentieth session, under the slogan “Will of Development, Longing for Leadership”, continues the “Aden World Tour” of the famous American mezzo-soprano Joyce Di Donato, one of the most prominent opera singers in the world, until June 23, during which she presents a series of performances. In Greece, Portugal, Italy, Spain, France and Germany.
This follows the success of Joyce Di Donato, winner of two Grammy Awards, two Gramophone Awards for “Singer of the Year” and four German Echo Classics awards, during her pre-work tour last year in the US, Latin America and Europe. , Asia, and Africa, from March 2 to April 24, 2022.
Joyce Di Donato will take the audience on a journey with the melodies of the ancient Italian orchestra “Il Pomo d’Oro”, created by the French theater director Marie Lambert; To present a group of unique opera pieces, in a scene that reflects the ability of arts to transcend borders and build bridges between different cultures.
The tour started again from the stage of the Music Palace “Megaron” in Athens, the capital of Greece, on May 30, and moved on June 2 to the “Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation Theater” in Lisbon, Portugal, and continues at the “Teatro Royal” theater in the current city of Madrid 5, to move then to the “Palau de la Musica Catalana” theater in Barcelona the next day, and on June 8 the tour arrives in Toulouse; It performs at the Halle aux Grandes Theatre. Joyce Di Donato will also perform in Germany at the “Kulturpalast” theater in Dresden, Germany, on the 11th of this month, and at the “De Gluck” theater in Bremen, on June 13. Two days later, she will arrive at the “Philharmony Essen” in Essen, and she will conclude her tour for the year 2023. In Italy, on June 23, in Milan, at the Teatro La Scala.
