Alice Cooper Honors Ozzy Osbourne with Tribute Performance, Johnny Depp Joins on Stage

London, UK – July 25, 2025 – Rock icon Alice Cooper paid a heartfelt tribute to the late Ozzy Osbourne during a concert at the O2 Arena in London last night, dedicating a performance to the Black Sabbath frontman who passed away earlier this week. Actor Johnny Depp, a known fan of Osbourne, joined Cooper’s band on stage, wearing an Osbourne T-shirt as thay concluded a song.

Depp, who is set to return to Hollywood with the upcoming thriller “Day Drinker” alongside Penélope Cruz, remained on stage after the Osbourne tribute to perform Alice Cooper’s classic hit “School’s Out” with the band.Ozzy Osbourne, a legendary figure in rock music, died on Tuesday at the age of 76. he had been battling various health issues, including Parkinson’s disease, which he publicly announced in 2022.

The tribute came as Cooper and his band were performing in Cardiff, Wales, on the same night of Osbourne’s passing.A video shared on Cooper’s Instagram showed him addressing his band backstage, stating, “Everybody in, this one’s for Oz tonight.”

In a statement accompanying the video, Cooper expressed his grief, noting that while many anticipated Osbourne’s eventual passing due to his health struggles, the news was still a shock. “Even though everybody saw it coming with Ozzy,it just took our breath away when it happened,” Cooper said. He further emphasized Osbourne’s lasting legacy, stating, “So Ozzy and family – your records and your music and your legend and all that you brought – the humor to the rock business – will live on forever and we’re gonna miss you man.”

The Cardiff show was officially dedicated to Osbourne. Following the performance, Cooper reflected on Osbourne’s impact, stating, “The whole world is mourning Ozzy tonight. Over his long career, he earned immense respect among his peers and from fans around the world as an unmatched showman and cultural icon.”

Cooper described Osbourne as a unique blend of the “Prince of Darkness” persona and the “court jester” seen by his loved ones. He concluded by acknowledging the strong bond within the rock community, saying, “He was and will continue to be a rock n roll legend. Rock n Roll is a family and a fraternity. When we lose one of our own it bleeds. I wish I would have gotten to know my brother Ozzy better.”
