by Julia Evans – Entertainment Editor

Influencer Jeremstar, arrested Friday evening after bursting in the middle of the Nîmes arenas in full bullfight, brandishing a fabric bearing the inscription “F*CK La Corrida“, came out of police custody on Sunday, the Nîmes prosecutor’s prosecutor.

He received, as well as the two other participants in the protest action, a summons by judicial police officer (COPJ), a measure of direct convocation to a hearing before the court, added the prosecution without specifying the date of this hearing.

The bullfight had been briefly interrupted Friday following the intrusion of the influencer. The other two activists had traveled the circular corridor, the Callejon, around the arenas, dressed in a t-shirt flanked by the word bullfight barred in red.

All three were expelled from the arenas by security agents before being placed in police custody “for intrusion into a sports enclosure disturbing the course of the competition”.

“I hate bullfighting. It is not art but animal torture. This despicable tradition must be abolished. I do not understand how this shameful spectacle is still possible in 2025”, had justified Jeremstar, in a post on his Instagram account with 2.5 million subscribers, accompanied by the video of his action, supported and organized with Peta France.
