The‍ series was leveled after the second ODI, where India’s Smriti mandhana delivered a stunning century in a ⁣102-run victory. Mandhana became only the second batter too score consecutive⁤ ODI hundreds, ⁤following england’s Tammy Beaumont.

During Australia’s innings, a century was scored at ⁤a blistering pace, second only to Meg Lanning’s‌ 45-ball hundred‌ against New Zealand in 2012.

The match also saw a new record ⁢for boundaries in women’s ODIs, with a combined 111 – 99 fours and 12 sixes – struck throughout‌ the innings.

This series win marks the 11th consecutive bilateral ⁢ODI series victory for Australia against India. They ⁢have now won nine consecutive ODI series dating back to a 2-1‍ defeat to England in ⁤the 2023 Women’s Ashes.

The back-and-forth nature ⁤of ‍the series ⁤- Australia’s initial strong win, India’s subsequent response, and this high-scoring finale – highlights the growing competitiveness between the two teams and solidifies their status as frontrunners for the 2025 ⁢Women’s World Cup.
