IEEE WIE Podcast Amplifies Voices,Addresses STEM⁢ Career Retention for​ women

San Jose,Calif. ​ – A new podcast from the IEEE ‌Women ⁤in Engineering (WIE)​ is gaining global traction by spotlighting‌ the challenges and triumphs of women in STEM fields,wiht a recent episode featuring Nimisha Morkonda Gnanasekaran,recognized this year⁣ as one ‍of the IEEE Computer SocietyS Top 30 Early Career Professionals. ‍Gnanasekaran is the⁤ Director of Data Science and Advanced Analytics ⁤at western digital, based in San Jose.

The podcast aims to address critical⁤ issues impacting women’s careers in STEM, including⁣ a concerning ‍trend highlighted by an EEOC report: as many as⁣ 50 percent of women leave their ​STEM ⁣careers within five years. Upcoming episodes will⁢ feature conversations with leaders like Cynthia Kane, author of ​ The Pause Principle: How to Keep Yoru Cool in ⁤Tough​ Situations, focusing on navigating arduous workplace conversations.
