A fire broke‍ out at a ⁢petrol station in Oslo, Norway, prompting a temporary road closure and a response from emergency ‌services. The incident, unfolding⁢ near Ulvenveien ⁢and Østre Aker ⁣vei, was witnessed by Marius Flatnes, 21, who described seeing large flames and hearing explosions.

The ⁤blaze,⁢ which generated important black smoke, drew a‌ ample emergency response. while‌ the cause of the fire remains under investigation, authorities have since reopened Ulvenveien and Østre Aker vei to traffic as of 12:22 PM ​local time, though smoke continues to emanate from ⁤the vehicle involved. This incident highlights the potential for disruption at critical infrastructure points and underscores the rapid response capabilities ‍of Oslo’s ⁢emergency services.

Flatnes, an employee working nearby,​ observed the scene from his workplace. “There are large⁣ amounts of black smoke and many emergency services here,” he stated. He reported witnessing “large​ flames and bangs” originating from the petrol station.

Police initially blocked roads in the surrounding area to facilitate firefighting efforts and ensure public ‍safety. The reopening ⁤of Ulvenveien and Østre Aker vei signifies progress⁢ in containing the situation, though motorists are advised ‌to remain cautious due to lingering smoke.
