HyperOS 3.1 Review: AirPods Compatibility, European Rollout, Game Turbo & Android Version Guide for Xiaomi Devices
Xiaomi has begun rolling out HyperOS 3.1 to select devices in Europe, with the Xiaomi 14 Ultra confirmed as the first model to receive the update in the region.
The update, which includes Game Turbo optimizations for enhanced mobile gaming performance, is now available for installation on the Xiaomi 15 series, according to official rollout notices from the company. Users can verify their current HyperOS and underlying Android version through a dedicated settings menu introduced in the update, which provides clear system information without requiring third-party tools.
Early testing of HyperOS 3.1 on the Xiaomi 17 Ultra has shown improved compatibility with Apple AirPods, particularly in connection stability and audio latency during calls and media playback. The system maintains backward compatibility with previous-generation Xiaomi accessories while refining Bluetooth stack performance for wireless earbuds.
The rollout follows a phased approach, prioritizing flagship models before expanding to mid-range devices. Xiaomi has not announced a timeline for broader regional availability beyond Europe, nor confirmed whether the update will include security patches from the April 2026 Android bulletin.
Device owners are advised to check for updates manually via Settings > About device > System updates, as over-the-air notifications may be delayed in certain markets.
