HORI has announced a new line of licensed controllers for Nintendo’s upcoming Switch 2 console, offering a vibrant range of colors but omitting key features found in Nintendo’s official Pro Controller. Teh Wireless HORIPAD Turbo is now available for pre-order in Japan.
While pricing details for Western markets haven’t been confirmed, the Japanese price suggests a notable cost saving compared to Nintendo’s official controller, which retails for £74.99 / $89.99. The new HORI pad features a turbo function adn comes in six colors. However, it lacks features like HD Rumble, motion controls, and a built-in NFC reader – all standard on the official Nintendo Switch Pro Controller.
A 13-minute video showcasing the color range and design is available on nintendo Life’s YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fVvfvLXIPmU. Western release dates are anticipated to follow the Japanese launch.
