The Section 1 girls swimming championships, held November 13, 2024, at Felix Festa Middle School, highlighted rising stars and established competitors alike. Eastchester‘s sofia Torres,a junior,demonstrated her versatility with a strong showing in the 200-yard individual medley. Fellow Eastchester athlete, Ia Rapisarda, Sr., also impressed. Scarsdale is represented by both Sophie Reis, a sophomore, and senior Iris Wang, a diver.
ursuline’s davia Richardson, Sr., and freshman Hayden turnbull are poised for continued success. Greeley‘s Finley White, jr., and SHEDI’s Zoey Wiese, Sr., also delivered notable performances. Mamaroneck’s Daniela Winters, a sophomore, rounds out the list of athletes to watch.
