Guangzhou opera House Announces “Art Marathon” for 2025 National Games


In anticipation of the 15th National Games, the Guangzhou Opera house is set to launch an “Art Marathon,” beginning with an art corridor in its inclined column space on June 21, 2025. This event will showcase a series of performances, including dance dramas and a musical, promising a rich cultural experience for attendees.

A Diverse Lineup of Performances

Following the art corridor event, the guangzhou Opera House will host a variety of performances. These include dance dramas such as “Awakening Lion,” which highlights Lingnan lion dance culture, “Odes to Heroes,” presenting Chinese Yingge dance, and “The Peacock,” created by dancer Yang Liping. The 2025 Guangzhou Art Season will conclude with the Italian musical, “The Divine Comedy.”

Traditional music interactive activities will also be hosted along the art ring route centered on the opera house during three consecutive weekends.
