“Huge Scandal”: Dispute Over GTA VI Postponement Reaches Poland’s parliament
Warsaw, Poland – The latest delay of Rockstar Games’ highly anticipated grand theft Auto VI has unexpectedly sparked debate within the Polish parliament. Witold Tumanowicz, a member of the opposition party KWiN (Confederation of Freedom and Independence), publicly denounced the postponement during a recent parliamentary session, calling it ”a huge scandal.”
“As part of my parliamentary debate, I wanted to inform you of a very disturbing matter. An hour ago Rockstar Games announced that the release of GTA VI will not come until next year,” Tumanowicz stated. He jokingly added, “Honestly: If people don’t take to the streets after something like this, I don’t know what will happen.”
The reaction to Tumanowicz’s statement has been mixed. Some Polish media outlets sharply criticized the move as an “absurd scene,” while social media users largely responded with humor, with one X user commenting,”Critically important topics are finally being discussed.”
Fellow MP Paweł Szrot, from the Law and Justice party, voiced support for Tumanowicz, stating on X: “I respect such statements,Mr. Representative. I hope the add-on for Bannerlord (another role-playing game) is not postponed any further.”
