FromSoftware Confirms Considerable Elden Ring Nightreign DLC, Targeting April 2026 Release
fromsoftware’s parent company has revealed that major downloadable content for Elden ring Nightreign is still in progress, with a planned release before april 2026. The announcement comes after the game exceeded initial sales expectations, prompting the studio to invest in expanding the experience. This DLC will build upon the already popular co-op focused iteration of Elden Ring.
The forthcoming expansion is intended to offer considerably more then the free difficulty modifiers and boss fight updates previously released. FromSoftware is considering options such as a new map, additional points of interest, new quests, character classes, and further boss encounters to justify the DLC’s inclusion in the game’s Deluxe Edition, which originally retailed for £13 / $15 more than the standard version.
In a review of Elden Ring Nightreign, Push Square awarded the game an 8/10, stating: “This is basically FromSoftware having some fun with its IP, and with a squad of friends, Elden Ring Nightreign is a blast.” The studio also has two other titles planned for release in 2026: Elden Ring Tarnished Edition for the Nintendo Switch 2 and The Duskbloods.
