Freestyle World Tour Thrills 13,000 at Valencia’s Roig Arena

March 22, 2026 Priya Shah – Business Editor Business

Valencia, Spain – Nearly 13,000 spectators filled the Roig Arena on Saturday for the Freestyle World Tour, a motor extreme sports spectacle featuring some of Spain’s top motocross riders. The event, which showcased daring acrobatic displays, ran for two hours and culminated in a synchronized jump finale.

Performers included Jose Di Dio, Raúl Lerena, Guillem Navas – a three-time X Games medalist – Andreu Lacondeguy, Pedro Moreno, a four-time Spanish champion, and Dany Torres, the Red Bull X Fighters world champion, according to event organizers.

The show was divided into two segments. The first featured individual five-jump routines from each rider, followed by a “Best Whip” competition. The audience selected Dany Torres as the winner of the Best Whip contest, judging the maneuver based on its intensity and style.

The second half of the event focused on more complex and challenging tricks, leading to a final display of simultaneous jumps by all the riders.

The Roig Arena, a newly constructed multi-purpose indoor venue in Valencia, has a capacity of approximately 20,000 for concerts. The entire project cost an estimated 400 million euros, fully funded by Juan Roig, the president of the Spanish supermarket chain Mercadona, using his personal assets.

The Freestyle World Tour’s choice of the Roig Arena reflects the venue’s ambition to host large-scale events, according to a statement released by the arena. The arena is intended to accommodate a variety of events, including sporting competitions, entertainment shows, and corporate functions.
