Formula 1 Launches £10,000 Moving Fine-Dining Experience With LVMH

August 11, 2026 Emma Walker – News Editor News

Formula 1 is expanding its £10,000-per-head hospitality experience called The Out Lap, which places a 12-person glass-walled dining room aboard an articulated lorry that drives around the active Grand Prix circuit between racing sessions. According to City AM and Pursuitist, the offering launched at Spa-Francorchamps and is rolling out to Zandvoort, Monza, and Madrid as part of a $1 billion, decade-long partnership between Formula 1 and luxury sponsor LVMH.

The Mechanics of Dinner in Motion on the Circuit

The Out Lap positions guests around a chef’s table inside a mobile dining structure mounted to a black tractor unit with lights blazing across its cab. Rather than watching from a traditional pit lane suite or yacht, diners are driven onto the actual asphalt where racing cars compete. According to Pursuitist coverage, the bespoke vehicle pauses at historic corners—such as Eau Rouge, Raidillon, Les Combes, and Pouhon at Spa—while former world champions climb aboard to recount defining racing memories.

The concept derives its name from the transitional lap a driver makes when leaving the garage. At Spa-Francorchamps, the 7.004-kilometer circuit provided the distance needed for a four-course journey. F1 states that the experience is born from the long-term collaboration with Moët Hennessy, translating the sport’s heritage and culture into a mobile hospitality framework.

Michelin-Star Menus and Racing Legends Behind the Wheel

French chef Yannick Alléno designed the inaugural menu for the Spa debut. According to Reuters data cited by Pursuitist, Alléno’s restaurant group holds 18 Michelin stars across 21 restaurants, with his flagship Alléno Paris au Pavillon Ledoyen retaining three stars in the 2026 guide. Alléno created dishes such as a warm royale, poached langoustine, and beef specifically engineered for the technical challenges of temperature, plating, and movement inside a mobile vehicle.

Each course aligns with wines and spirits selected from the Moët Hennessy portfolio, including Moët & Chandon, Hennessy, Glenmorangie, Belvedere Vodka, Whispering Angel, Volcán de Mi Tierra, and French Bloom. Jacques Villeneuve, the 1997 Formula 1 World Champion and 1995 Indianapolis 500 winner, narrated the inaugural Spa journey, offering personal insights into the track’s most demanding sections.

Logistical expansions of this magnitude require meticulous planning, security clearances, and precise asset movement. High-net-worth individuals and corporate partners coordinating complex international itineraries frequently rely on corporate event planning specialists and luxury logistics providers to manage high-end hospitality deployments.

Commercial Growth and the Road Ahead at Zandvoort

Demand for Formula 1 access remains exceptionally high, with multiple Grands Prix prior to the mid-season break recording sell-out attendances. Following its debut in Belgium, The Out Lap continues its schedule at Zandvoort for the Dutch Grand Prix, where the dining truck will navigate the circuit’s famous banked and undulating corners. Subsequent roll-outs are slated for Monza and Madrid.

Formula 1 confirmed that the venture celebrates the human stories shaping generations of motorsport. Meanwhile, the on-track championship battle continues, with Italian driver Kimi Antonelli leading the Drivers’ Championship standings ahead of British competitors Lewis Hamilton and George Russell.

As elite sports properties scale high-value commercial activations, managing contractual agreements, intellectual property rights, and cross-border sponsorships becomes increasingly intricate. Stakeholders engaging in multi-million-dollar sports marketing portfolios often consult sports and entertainment legal counsel to oversee complex sponsorship frameworks.

Commercial expansion at this tier redefines the boundary between spectator and surface, transforming active racing infrastructure into an exclusive stage for global luxury brands.
