Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Addresses Key International Issues

China Responds to Allegations of Disinformation, Middle ⁤East Escalation at Press Conference

BEIJING, September 12, 2025China’s Foreign ministry today addressed a ‍range of⁣ international issues, including ​allegations of Chinese⁢ interference in German politics, escalating tensions ⁣in the ⁢Middle East, and claims of disinformation campaigns, during a regular press conference led by Spokesperson Lin Jian.

Responding to questions about the German examination into far-right MP Maximilian Krah, ‌who‌ is suspected ⁢of receiving bribes from Chinese sources, Lin Jian stated, “This is Germany‘s‍ internal affair. China will not make a comment⁣ on that.” He firmly reiterated China’s ​position, adding, “Let me stress that we ⁢oppose spreading false narratives on threats of ‘China spy.'”

The spokesperson ‌also addressed recent Israeli ‍military ⁢actions, expressing “deep concern” over the continued escalation in the Middle East. “We oppose the violation of regional countries’ sovereignty and security, condemn all attacks killing and hurting innocent civilians, and are against any ⁢inflammatory action that fuels upward spiraling of tensions in the region,” Lin Jian said.He urged Israel to “end the conflict, resume talks, and restore regional peace and stability, rather of the other way around,” emphasizing‌ that ‍”violence and force will not deliver ‌peace and security.”

Lin Jian also ⁤responded to comments made by Utah⁤ Governor​ Spencer Cox regarding ​alleged disinformation campaigns ⁢linked to the investigation into the death of U.S.‍ conservative political activist Charlie Kirk. Cox had claimed the presence of “bots ⁣from ⁤Russia, China, all over the world” attempting to spread disinformation and incite⁤ violence.‌ Lin Jian countered, “China condemns all unlawful and violent acts. That said, we firmly oppose some U.S. ⁤politicians⁣ groundlessly accusing china and we firmly oppose spreading‍ disinformation and vilifying China.”

the⁤ Ministry announced details of an upcoming visit by Pakistani President ‌Asif Ali Zardari. Lin Jian confirmed ​that President Zardari will be in China from September 12 ⁤to 21, attending the opening ceremony of the Golden Panda ‌International Cultural Forum and visiting Sichuan, Shanghai, and ⁢the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region.
