Flying Taxi Services Set to Launch in Saudi Arabia by 2030
RIYADH, SAUDI ARABIA – Fly Now aviation Arabia plans to introduce electric helicopter-based flying taxi services across Saudi Arabia by 2030, according to a report in Al-Marsad newspaper, citing Inteli News and company CEO iPhone Winter. the initiative aims to provide an innovative transportation alternative in major cities, including Riyadh, Jeddah, Al-Ula, and Asir.
Beyond passenger transport utilizing pre-defined flight paths, Fly Now Aviation Arabia intends to offer air ambulance services, cargo transport, and firefighting support within the next two years.
A single flight in a flying taxi will cost approximately 100 Saudi Riyals, with a range of up to 50 kilometers. The service will leverage advanced automated flight technology for efficient operation.The company states the cost of each electric helicopter will begin at $373,000, substantially lower than competitors’ prices, which can exceed 5 million euros.These helicopters boast 360-degree maneuverability, operate with noise levels of no more than 55 decibels at 150 meters altitude, and produce zero carbon emissions.
