Famous Brazilian soccer player Marta with positive test for coronavirus

The six-time winner of the title of the best female soccer player in the world Brazilian Marta (Marta Vieira da Silva) has tested positive for coronavirus, the local federation (CBF) said.

34-year-old Marta has been isolated from the national team and will not play in the friendly matches against Ecuador, which are scheduled for November 27 and December 1.

The Brazilian is the first player in the world (including men) to score in five consecutive World Cups. Her total achievements in the world championship are 17 goals and this is also a record.

Two-time Olympic runners-up (2004, 2008) and world runners-up (2007) triumphed six times in the FIFA poll for the best female soccer player in the world – in 2006-2010 and 2018.
