Fake Uber Driver Convicted of Kidnap, Attempted Rape, and Sexual Assault – Again
Brighton, UK – June 20, 2025 – A jury has found Graham head, 68, guilty of kidnap, attempted rape, and sexual assault for a second time, following the overturning of his original convictions on appeal. Head preyed on “vulnerable and intoxicated” women in Brighton,posing as an “unofficial Uber” driver.
Head operated out of a silver Mercedes estate, equipped with disturbing items including latex gloves, condoms, Viagra, and a balaclava when arrested in November 2022. Police discovered business cards advertising “N-Uber driver” services with the slogan “Safe and Reliable – For All Occasions.”
The initial conviction in july 2023 resulted in a 23-year sentence, but the Court of Appeal overturned it in November 2024 due to concerns about the original trial judge. This led to a retrial at Lewes Crown Court, concluding today with a guilty verdict on all charges after eight hours of deliberation.
Prosecutors described Head as a “sexual predator” who “slipped up” during his arrest. He falsely claimed he had not touched his victims and denied knowing them. Evidence revealed Head strategically used flight mode on his two mobile phones to avoid tracking while seeking victims.
The attacks occured in Hove Park (August 19, 2022) and near a victim’s home (November 18, 2022). Head carried Viagra and condoms, and utilized latex gloves “to minimise the risk of leaving traces of his DNA
