Czech Duo Eva and Vašek Call It Quits After 34 Years
After more than three decades of performing together, the popular Czech musical duo **Eva and Vašek** have officially ended their partnership. This decision follows their divorce, marking a significant turning point for both artists.
The End of an Era
**Eva** reflected on their long journey: “We sang together for thirty-four years, and I want to keep nice memories.”
She revealed that the decision to split came after years of collaboration, culminating in a divorce. “Two years ago I traveled to the US, **Vašek** stayed here, and a year ago we announced the end of the activity and divorced. We just arrived at the finish station, and we all have our lives,”
**Eva** stated.
Differing Perspectives
**Vašek**’s perspective on the split included mentions of external influences affecting **Eva**’s behavior, which **Eva** disputes. She said that they spoke a few times regarding the divorce to ensure a peaceful resolution since he was moving to Florida.
Last Encounters
**Eva** recounted their final encounters, including a meeting at their former home in Moravia. “We saw it when I came to our common house for a few things. I told him I had no problem helping him at any time, come to the studio, I am happy to sing what he needed, I’ll have coffee, but I don’t want to live with him as a woman,”
she explained. A selfie taken at the divorce proceedings was later posted by **Vašek** on social media, capturing the end of their shared journey.
Moving Forward
Regarding her future, **Eva** expressed a desire for companionship. She hopes to find someone to share her life with, whether in the Czech Republic or the United States. According to a Pew Research Center study, strong social relationships are linked to better well-being (Pew Research Center 2024).
Solo Endeavors
Currently, **Eva**, now known as **Eva Adams**, is planning solo performances with her brother **Hynek Dvořáček**. As **Eva Adams**, she has already released four solo albums, marking a new chapter in her musical career.
