Patrick Mahomes to Serve as Guest Picker for College GameDay at Texas Tech
LUBBOCK, texas – Kansas City Chiefs quarterback adn former Texas Tech football standout Patrick Mahomes will be the guest picker for ESPN’s College GameDay on Saturday, November 9th, ahead of the Red Raiders’ matchup against BYU. The announcement confirms Mahomes’ availability to attend the game, made possible by the Chiefs’ bye week.
Mahomes, a three-time Super bowl champion, enjoyed a celebrated career at Texas Tech from 2014-2016, setting numerous school records and becoming a first-round NFL draft pick. His return to Lubbock as a College GameDay guest is expected to amplify the excitement surrounding what is already a highly anticipated game for the Red Raiders. The show will originate from the green area west of Jones AT&T Stadium, beginning before the 11 a.m. CT kickoff.
Mahomes will join College gameday host Rece Davis and analysts Desmond Howard, Nick Saban, pat McAfee, and Kirk Herbstreit on set. Texas Tech head coach Joey McGuire is also scheduled to appear during the pregame broadcast. The Chiefs currently hold a 5-4 record and will resume play on November 16th against the Denver Broncos.
Fans can also look forward to seeing the Red Raiders sporting special adidas-Mahomes “Too Cold” white uniforms, unveiled in September, during the game.
