The scam​ leverages the name ⁤and image of Elon Musk and‍ Tesla, falsely claiming a ‍giveaway for users who engage with specific posts. however,neither Musk nor Tesla have announced any such promotion,and the tactic mirrors previous⁣ online scams utilizing similar prize‍ lures.

The fraudulent posts direct users toward private messaging exchanges where scammers attempt to obtain personal data.This data can ​then be used for identity theft, account hacking, ‌or direct financial fraud – frequently enough requesting passwords, banking ‍details, or prompting clicks on malicious links.This isn’t an isolated⁣ incident; similar scams have previously circulated using the names of other automotive brands like Fiat, Nissan, and even companies offering recreational vehicles.
