Electronic Arts (EA) has indicated that it currently has no plans to increase the price of its video games beyond the $70 mark,a threshold some other publishers, including Nintendo, have adopted.
During a recent investor Q&A session, EA President Andrew Wilson addressed the company’s pricing strategy. He stated that EA is not considering any changes to its current pricing policies.
We are not currently considering any changes in price, but it is worth remembering that we are already offering a very wide range of models depending on the product. From F2P games to premium and deluxe editions – our goal is to cover the entire price spectrum to best respond to the needs of players. We will continue to look for ways to offer attractive price options, but we do not plan any drastic changes.
This announcement offers reassurance to fans anticipating titles like Battlefield 6. maintaining the current price point could also be a strategic marketing decision, as EA aims to maximize player engagement with the new installment in its military first-person shooter series, where a higher price might deter potential buyers.
The official presentation of the multiplayer mode for Battlefield 6 is scheduled for tomorrow. Live events will be held in Los Angeles, Berlin, Paris, and London, with the online broadcast commencing at 8:30 PM Polish time.
