Duduzile Zuma Threatens July Riots Again: Zuma Demands Ramaphosa’s Resignation

Pretoria, South Africa – Duduzile-sambudla Zuma and members of the MK Party delivered a memorandum at the Union Buildings on Friday, outlining a series of demands that include the resignation of President Cyril Ramaphosa and the arrest of Police Minister Senzo Mchunu.

The protest, which took place in Pretoria, also called for protective measures for Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi. The MK Party’s specific demands, as presented in the memorandum handed over by national organiser Joe Ndlela, are:

  • The arrest of Minister of Police, Senzo Mchunu.
  • The return of police dockets pertaining to political killings to the Special Task Force.
  • The arrest of individuals implicated by Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi,including deputy national commissioner Shadrack Sibiya.
  • The resignation of President Cyril Ramaphosa.

Ndlela informed the assembled crowd that the government has been given a 14-day ultimatum to respond to the memorandum’s contents.
