Drake’s ICEMAN Album: Release Date, Kendrick Lamar Diss & More
Drake has confirmed plans to release his ninth studio album, Iceman, in 2026, despite a restrained rollout that has left fans anticipating details. The announcement, delivered through social media, comes as the Toronto-based artist continues to achieve significant commercial milestones, including becoming the first rapper to surpass 2 billion Spotify streams within a year and reaching 300 songs with over 100 million streams each.
Iceman will be Drake’s first full-length solo release since 2023’s For All The Dogs, and follows his collaborative album with PARTYNEXTDOOR, $ome $exy $ongs 4 U, released in 2025. The album is expected to be released through OVO Sound and Republic Records. Confirmed producers include Drake himself, as well as frequent collaborators Tay Keith and Oz, alongside Alex Lustig, Bnyx, Boi-1da, and others.
Drake began teasing the project in August 2024, releasing the EP 100 Gigs and posting cryptic messages on social media. The album’s promotion included the release of four singles in the latter half of 2025: “What Did I Miss?”, “Which One” featuring Central Cee, “Somebody Loves Me Pt. 2”, and “Dog House” featuring Yeat and Julia Wolf. Each single was preceded by a livestream on YouTube, though it remains unconfirmed whether any of these tracks will ultimately appear on the final album.
The upcoming release arrives after a highly publicized feud with Kendrick Lamar. Even as the extent to which this conflict will influence the album’s content remains unknown, industry observers anticipate it will be a significant theme. Drake posted a message to his Instagram Story reading, “MAKE THEM CRY,” further fueling speculation about the album’s tone and lyrical content.
In 2025, the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry ranked Drake as the third best-selling artist worldwide, trailing only Taylor Swift and Stray Kids, marking his eleventh consecutive year as the top-ranked rapper on the organization’s annual list.
