Donald and Melania Trump Cast Early Ballots in Florida for Midterm Elections
“Voy a Georgia. Es un esfuerzo. No es normal lo que he hecho,” declared U.S. President Donald Trump after casting his ballot alongside First Lady Melania Trump on Saturday at the Palm Beach County Supervisor of Elections office in Florida, ahead of the midterm elections scheduled for November 3, El Universal reported.
Early Voting Push in Florida and Michigan
The presidential couple completed their in-person early voting before traveling to Perry, Georgia, for a campaign rally. Prior to visiting the polling location, President Trump used his Truth Social account to urge voters in both Florida and Michigan to head to the polls immediately. According to El Universal wrote that in-person early voting was already underway in Florida and instructed citizens holding mail-in ballots to hand them in directly or vote in person. Trump assured the media that everything was fine as he entered the facilities in Florida on October 24, 2026, near his Mar-a-Lago residence.
Intense Campaign Schedule and Polling Pressures
Addressing reporters outside the polling station, President Trump highlighted his rigorous campaign schedule leading up to the midterms. EFE noted that the president stated he was averaging nearly a campaign rally per day to support candidates across the country, including in Kansas, Texas, and Nebraska, despite admitting that sitting presidents typically face difficult midterm outcomes. He mentioned that he was campaigning for other individuals, some of whom he did not know, while attempting to counter polls showing Democrats with a ten-point advantage this week, and insisted that no other president had campaigned as hard as he had because they passed incredible legislation.
Foreign Policy Remarks on Iran and Ukraine
Following his vote, President Trump addressed questions regarding foreign policy developments involving Iran and Ukraine. When queried by reporters about a possible military strike against Iran, the president remarked that an action could be considered soon, while also leaving room for a potential diplomatic agreement, as reported by EFE. Specifically, he engaged in a verbal clash with a journalist by asking if the reporter truly believed he would disclose his plans, adding that there was a possibility of a major agreement if Iran could be trusted to keep a deal. Turning to Eastern Europe, the president praised First Lady Melania Trump for helping secure a local ceasefire in the front-line Ukrainian city of Oleshki, set to begin on October 29, noting that she outperformed professionals on matters involving children and elderly people and stating that he would like her to become more involved in such issues.
New York Mayor Joins Early Voting
As documented by El Universal, Mayor Mamdani reminded residents that early voting runs from October 24 through November 1, with the final opportunity to cast ballots arriving on election day, Tuesday, November 3, after posting on X to celebrate the first day of in-person early voting in New York and greeting poll workers while emphasizing that voting is a fundamental right.
