St. Leon-Rot Girls Dominate Early Rounds of DMM AK14 Championship
Ebersberg, Germany – The girls’ team from St. Leon-rot has established a commanding lead following the opening rounds of the 2025 Deutsche Mannschaftsmeisterschaft (DMM) for age groups 14, 16, and 18. Competition is currently underway at the challenging Ebersberger Golf Club, known for its undulating greens, hilly terrain, and mature tree-lined fairways.
The DMM series, running parallel to high-profile events like the Ryder Cup in New york and Bernhard Langer’s appearance at the Seniors event in Winston, showcases Germany’s rising golf talent.While the boys’ AK 14 division battles for the title at GC Schloss Westerholt, the st. Leon-Rot girls have set the pace with impressive scores. Alwin Türklitz and Luis Behr of G&LC berlin-Wannsee delivered a standout performance in the boys’ competition, carding a remarkable 69.
The ebersberger course proved demanding, with several teams posting triple-digit rounds and those further down the leaderboard exceeding 60 over par after the foursomes play, even with a third score counted.The Hamburger GC girls secured third place at 27 over par, led by rounds of 85 and 86 from pairings Lina Griesbach/Kayra Destina Pekdemir and hannah Levsen/Ella Sofia Houengaard.
close behind are the girls from Berliner GC Stolper Heide (+28), GC Hubbelrath (+32), and Münchener GC (+34). Team Neuhof will begin the individual stroke play competition, starting from seventh place at +38, with tee times beginning at 8:30 AM from tees 1 and 10. Sophie Günther of GC München Eichenried, boasting the lowest HCPI of 1.4, will lead off the first group.
