Death Stranding 2: On the Beach will arrive on PC on March 19, 2026, with support for DLSS, FSR, and XeSS upscaling technologies, Sony Interactive Entertainment announced today. The release mirrors the game’s launch on PlayStation 5 and expands the availability of Hideo Kojima’s highly anticipated sequel.
The PC version, detailed on the PlayStation Blog, will feature the same core gameplay and narrative as the PS5 edition. The inclusion of NVIDIA’s Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS), AMD’s FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR), and Intel’s XeSS is intended to optimize performance across a range of PC hardware configurations.
Death Stranding 2: On the Beach stars Norman Reedus, reprising his role as Sam Porter Bridges, alongside Elle Fanning. The game is a direct sequel to the 2019 title, Death Stranding, developed by Kojima Productions following Kojima’s departure from Konami. The original game garnered attention for its unique gameplay centered around delivery and connection in a post-apocalyptic setting.
PlayStation has also made available a 5-hour full game trial through PlayStation Plus Premium for PS5 players. Collector’s Editions of the game include a digital download, 48-hour early access, a 15” Magellan Man statue, a 3” Dollman figurine, art cards, a letter from Hideo Kojima, and in-game items such as the Machine Gun (MP Bullets) LV1 and various Battle, Boost, and Bokka Skeletons.
Pre-orders of any edition of Death Stranding 2: On the Beach include the Battle Skeleton: Silver (LV1, LV2, LV3), Boost Skeleton: Silver (LV1, LV2, LV3), Bokka Skeleton: Silver (LV1, LV2, LV3), and a custom Quokka hologram. Digital Deluxe Edition purchasers will receive additional items, including early access to the Machine Gun [MP] and patches for Quokka, Chiral Cat, and “Why Me?”
Sony has not yet commented on the specific system requirements for the PC version, but further details are expected to be released closer to the March 19 launch date.
