When we walk and we all celebrate each other, it is incredible to see our community gather, and all of our families and friends and our allies and organizations just celebrate and support one another. And it is growing every year, and I think it is going to be a long-standing celebration.

Frances Chartrand, Northwest Metis Council

Chartrand expressed gratitude to the numerous businesses and agencies that have contributed to the event’s success, including the Dauphin Friendship Centre, Assiniboine College, West Region Treaty 2 and 4 Health, Mountainview Teachers Association, and the City of Dauphin.

The event aims to foster a sense of belonging and acceptance within the community, reinforcing Dauphin’s commitment to diversity and inclusion. Organizers hope the celebrations will continue to grow, becoming a cherished tradition for years to come.
