Daphné Bürki: From TV Host to “Worship” Actress

Daphné Bürki Shifts Focus to Acting, Joins Season 2 of “Culte” After Stepping​ Back From Daily Television

French ​television personality Daphné Bürki is prioritizing acting adn will appear in the upcoming second season of the Prime Video series Culte,‌ marking a career shift after largely leaving daily‌ television work. “For a long time, I said ‍that ⁣I was not available because I was on television every day. this⁣ year, I⁤ decided to stop television. So my agent knows ‌that now I’m ok. We will see what is happening, especially according to this series,” Bürki told TV 7 days this Monday, October 6.

The move comes as Bürki scales back ‍her on-screen commitments, ‌following ‌the‍ success of Culte‘s first season in ​Fall 2024, which chronicled the origins of the groundbreaking reality show Loft Story on⁤ M6. While reducing her television presence, Bürki remains‌ on ​the airwaves, hosting the cultural segment New Heads on France Inter’s Large‍ Morning with Nicolas ⁤Demorand and Sonia Devillers.​

Bürki explained to TV 7 ​days that the radio prospect, ⁤proposed by​ France Inter program director Laurent Goumarre,⁤ appealed to her because of its short format and independence, freeing up time for acting projects.She continues as a judge on Drag Race France (France 2) and previously co-hosted Culturebox, ⁢le‌ show on France 4 until its ⁢recent cancellation. Bürki also ‌served as the “Styling and costumes” ⁢director for the opening ​and closing ceremonies​ of‍ the Paris Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2024.
