Birthday Serenade for ex-RAF Terrorist Daniela Klette During Court Appearance
Verden, Lower Saxony – activists marked the 67th birthday of Daniela Klette, a former member of the Red Army Faction (RAF), with a serenade as she entered the courtroom today. Approximately 20 supporters stood and sang “Happy Birthday” as Klette arrived for her trial.
The court in Verden did not acknowledge Klette’s birthday but proceeded with the trial, continuing to present documentation.
Prior to the trial’s commencement, vocal demonstrations of support were audible outside the converted riding arena serving as the courtroom. Activists chanted slogans including “Solidarity with Daniela” and “Freedom for all prisoners.” Around 40 supporters reportedly marched from the train station to the court, carrying banners and holding a rally during the proceedings.
Police confirmed that approximately 35 individuals gathered at the train station earlier this morning for a registered presentation under the banner ”Solidarity with Daniela” before marching to the court venue.
