Dangbei to Launch High-brightness⁤ S7 Ultra Max‍ Projector at IFA Berlin

Berlin, Germany Chinese manufacturer Dangbei will unveil its new flagship projector, the ⁤S7 Ultra Max, at the IFA ​electronics fair in Berlin next week, signaling​ a forthcoming global release following its July launch in China. The ⁣projector boasts an exceptionally high brightness of 6200 ISO Lumen, a figure⁢ considerably exceeding the ​2000-4000 ISO Lumen⁣ typically required for dark or bright living rooms, respectively.

Dangbei ‌attributes ⁤this brightness to ⁤a laser ⁤system utilizing 48 RGB laser units. Previously, the company⁤ cited a brightness of 5,800 CVIA-Lumen, a measurement often yielding ‍higher values than⁤ the more⁢ stringent ISO or⁤ ANSI standards, making ⁤the new ISO Lumen claim particularly noteworthy.

The S7 Ultra Max is designed⁢ to fully utilize high dynamic range (HDR) standards like Dolby Vision and HDR10+, ‍capable ‍of displaying⁣ exceptionally bright highlights alongside detailed dark areas. To manage the heat generated by⁢ the laser system, Dangbei has incorporated a liquid ⁣cooling system, aiming for a quite operation level ⁢of 24⁤ dB.

Beyond brightness, the projector features dual 15W‌ speakers, a‌ contrast ratio of 8,000:1, ​and support for HDR Vivid. It can ⁣project images up to 300 inches,utilizing a‌ 0.98-1.6:1 zoom lens‍ with automatic focus and keystone⁢ correction.

The‌ device runs‍ on Super Ai OS‍ 6.0, based on Android 14, and includes Wi-Fi 6, a built-in ‌voice assistant, and a 240Hz game mode.Wireless streaming⁣ is supported via ‌AirPlay ‌and other protocols. Connectivity options include HDMI 2.1 (EARC), USB 3.0, and USB-C. The ⁤projector is mounted on a 180-degree rotatable base for flexible aiming.

Currently⁢ priced at 15,999 Yuan (approximately‌ 1920 ​euros) in⁣ China, the S7 Ultra Max’s price point is considered surprisingly low given its specifications. European pricing is expected​ to be announced next ‌week.
