Cyberleek Leaks Grand Theft Auto 6 Story Clip and Threatens Build
Cyberleek Group Leaks 25-Minute Story Clip Ahead of November 19 Launch
Players awaiting the November 19 release of Grand Theft Auto 6 have received warnings to avoid online spoilers following a series of gameplay leaks orchestrated by a group calling itself Cyberleek, NME reported. The latest breach involves a 25-minute video allegedly showing footage from the game’s main story.
Cryptocurrency Milestones Tie Directly to Extortion Demands
The leaks began in August when the Grand Theft Auto 6 map circulated online alongside early video footage attributed to the same group. Over the weekend, Cyberleek released the 25-minute story clip and tied subsequent leaks to financial milestones for a cryptocurrency. The group promised to share clips showing protagonists Jason and Lucia nude if their memecoin hit a $4 million market cap, a threshold that was reached on Sunday, October 11.

Roadmap Threatens Massive 200 GB Playable Build
Some fans examining the newly released material have suggested the footage may have been constructed using player-made modifications rather than authentic builds. Cyberleek has since issued a follow-up announcement labeled “CYBERLEEK MILESTONE ROADMAP V2,” threatening to release a playable build exceeding 200 GB containing the full story mode if the coin reaches a $30 million market capitalization.
Take-Two Interactive Faces Demands for Public Apology and Discs
Game publisher Take-Two Interactive can prevent the release of the playable build under terms set by the group if they issue a public apology and release Grand Theft Auto 6 on physical. The threat notes that publishers can choose to comply or gamble that the leaks are a bluff.
Rockstar Games Responds as Retail Boycotts Erupt Over Digital-Only Format
Take-Two has not yet issued a public response to the latest leaks. In August, developers at Rockstar Games released a statement expressing heartbreak over earlier breaches. The studio noted that the leaks disrupted their intended rollout and apologized for the extended development timeline. Developers asked fans to wait to experience the finished game on November 19.
Controversy surrounding the game’s physical distribution has also impacted the release cycle. Last month, Rockstar Games announced a £349.99 collector’s edition titled ‘The Goodtime State – Vice City Collection,’ which includes various limited-edition items but does not feature a copy of the game. Several gaming retailers have initiated boycotts against Grand Theft Auto 6 after learning the title will launch strictly as a digital download and code-in-a-box format rather than receiving a full physical disc launch.
