African Union and UAE Forge Health Partnership to Bolster African Healthcare Systems
The African Union (AU) has formalized a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the united Arab Emirates (UAE) aimed at strengthening health systems and expanding healthcare access across the African continent.The agreement was signed during the recent African Union Mid-Year Coordination Meeting (AUMYCM) held in Malabo,Equatorial Guinea.
This collaboration is designed to enhance public health security, improve the continent’s capacity for emergency response, and ultimately foster a healthier future for Africa. The partnership signifies a commitment to addressing critical health challenges and building more resilient healthcare infrastructure.
In parallel,recent data indicates an improvement in Mpox testing coverage,with 55.5% of suspected cases being tested in the past week, a notable increase from the previous 39%.
