Man Detained Following Alleged Molestation on High-Speed Train in South china

A 34-year-old man is in criminal custody following allegations of molestation involving a 7-year-old girl on a high-speed train in South China. The facts was released in a notice issued by the Guangzhou railway police via their official Sina Weibo account on Tuesday afternoon.
According to the official notice,railway police aboard train D1819 received a report of a suspected molestation at 5:37 pm on October 3rd. A preliminary examination determined the incident allegedly occurred two minutes prior, at 5:35 pm, while the train was in transit.
The suspect, identified by the surname Yu, is accused of molesting the young girl in Car No. 7. The girl’s mother reportedly discovered the incident, promptly intervened, and alerted the onboard railway police. Officers responded swiftly and transferred Yu to the local railway police station for further handling.
The Guangzhou railway police state that Yu is currently being held under criminal detention on suspicion of child molestation. The case is actively under investigation.
