Cardi B Changes Mind on Butt Implant Removal: ‘I Feel Comfortable’
Cardi B has reversed course on a planned cosmetic procedure, telling Today with Jenna & Sheinelle on Tuesday that she will no longer pursue a butt reduction. The decision comes after the rapper publicly discussed her intention to travel to Colombia following her Little Miss Drama tour to undergo the surgery.
“After this tour, I don’t want to hear nobody for three months. I’m going to Colombia, nobody hit me up, nobody nothing. I’m taking this ass out,” Cardi said backstage at a Los Angeles tour stop in February, according to reports. However, during her appearance on Today, the 33-year-old Grammy winner stated, “I was saying that but I’m not gonna do it.” She clarified, “I was just gonna take a little bit of butt out. But I don’t have time for that. I feel really comfortable where I’m at right now with my body.”
The shift in perspective comes as Cardi B promotes her fresh haircare line, Grow-Good Beauty, which is launching with a tour that will initiate in her hometown of The Bronx. According to a TikTok post from the artist, the “Grow-Good Beauty Supply” will be accompanying her on tour. The launch of Grow-Good was also referenced in her appearance on Today.
Cardi also reflected on the physical changes she’s experienced, acknowledging the effects of age and motherhood. “I don’t know if it’s the age or the fact that I got four kids,” she said, adding that she has “a whole bunch of cellulite.” Despite this, she expressed a sense of contentment with her body, stating, “But I feel really good.” She also noted that while her waist “looks so perfect,” she doesn’t believe it is, but added, “But it’s okay, I’m loving my imperfections and everything and I just feel really comfortable. I feel really good.”
The rapper also addressed recent speculation surrounding her personal life, specifically rumors related to her previous relationship with NFL player Stefon Diggs. While she did not directly address the separation on Today, she previously dismissed claims that cosmetic procedures played a role in the split during an appearance on the Call Her Daddy podcast.
