The Lakers had the opportunity to put an end to the final series and the NBA season at the same time tonight. The Los Angeles team welcomed the match with the lead 3-1 and the favorite status, while the Heat still did not have Goran Dragic, who was injured in the first match. However, Bams Adebajo, who had missed the second and third games of the series, could play, and the Heat’s help came in handy, as the head coach Erik Spolstra played the game with only seven players.
Jimmy Butler played 47:11 minutes and helped the team with 35 points (11/19 shots from the game), 12 rebounds, five of them in the attack, and 11 assists. Butler also has five intercepted bombs at his expense. This is his second triple-double in the final series, and Butler has scored at least 20 points in each final match, averaging 29 points per game.
Butler was assisted by Dankan Robinson with 26 points, who scored seven long shots, but all other Heat players scored at least 10 points, except for veteran Andre Igudal. In the Lakers, Lebron James scored 40 points, 13 rebounds and seven assists, hitting 15 of 21 shots, while his teammate Anthony Davis collected 28 points and 12 rebounds.
The Heat were in the lead for most of the match, but were no further than 11 points at any point. The Miami team finished the first half with a lead of 60:56, retaining a few points throughout the third quarter and reaching 93:82 at the start of the last quarter. The Lakers responded with a breakthrough at 17: 3 and took the lead, but everything decided at the last minute.
Lebron James reached a draw 101: 101 three minutes before the end and then stood out with two important baskets, but the match hero was Butler, who scored eight points in the last two minutes and put the Heat in the lead four times, including 17 seconds before the end, when cold-blooded two free throws, reaching 109: 108. The Lakers didn’t use their last attack without a full free throw to Denny Green, Tiller Hiro hit two more free throws in the Heat, and Miami won 111: 108.
