In the port of Bahrain, in the waters of the Persian Gulf, two minesweepers of the British Royal Navy collided. No one was injured, but London said it had already launched an investigation into the incident.

Rear Admiral Edward Algren, Commanding Royal Naval Operations, admitted that Great Britain suffered some damage because of the incident with the ships.
“I can assure you that a full and thorough investigation is now underway and any changes in procedures that may prevent further incidents will be implemented quickly,” Rear Admiral Edward Algren said.
At the same time, assured Rear Admiral Algren, the United Kingdom will continue to play a key role in ensuring the safety of shipping in the region.
Attacks on ships in and around the Red Sea since November they have slowed trade between Asia and Europe and caused alarm the major powers in the escalating war between Israel and the Palestinian Hamas militants in Gaza.
The Iran-backed militants recently said ships linked to the US and Britain would also be targeted after both countries launched airstrikes in Yemen in response to repeated attacks.
The Houthis insist their attacks are targeted only to ships of certain nationalitiesbut a US Navy commander said the ships involved actually have ties to dozens of countries.
The Houthis early on Friday claimed responsibility for another attack on a US ship, after the US carried out new strikes on militant targets the previous day.
