Brazil Advances in Volleyball World Cup, Faces France in Quarterfinals
BANGKOK, Thailand – The Brazilian women’s volleyball team secured it’s place in the quarterfinals of the 2025 FIVB Volleyball World Championship after defeating the Dominican republic 3-1 in the round of 16. Brazil will now face France in a crucial match scheduled for 7:00 AM Brasilia time on Thursday, September 4th.
This advancement sets the stage for a challenging path to the final for the Brazilian National Team. Should they overcome France, they are projected to face either Italy or Poland in the subsequent round. The 20th edition of the championship, hosted in Thailand with the final phase taking place in Bangkok, features 32 teams initially divided into eight groups. The top two teams from each group progressed to the final phase of the tournament.
