Brazil Advances to Quarterfinals of Women’s Volleyball World Cup

Brazil Advances in Volleyball World Cup,‍ Faces France in Quarterfinals

BANGKOK, Thailand – The Brazilian women’s volleyball team secured it’s place in ⁣the ​quarterfinals ‌of the 2025 FIVB Volleyball World Championship after defeating ‌the Dominican republic 3-1 in the round⁤ of 16. Brazil will‍ now face France in a crucial ⁣match scheduled for 7:00 AM ⁢Brasilia‍ time on​ Thursday, September 4th.

This advancement sets the stage for⁤ a challenging path to the⁤ final for the Brazilian National Team. Should they overcome France, they are projected ⁣to face either Italy or Poland in the subsequent round. The 20th edition of the championship, hosted in Thailand with the‍ final ⁣phase taking ‍place in Bangkok, features 32⁤ teams initially divided into eight groups. The top two teams from each group progressed to the final phase of​ the tournament.

Wednesday, September 3:
Netherlands x Japan – 7:00 AM
Italy x Poland – 10:30 AM

Thursday, September⁣ 4:
FRANCE x brazil – 7:00 AM
United States x Türkiye​ – 10:30 AM

The World Championship, ‌organized by the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB), will culminate on September 7th with ‌a total of 64 matches played throughout the competition, including ⁢the round of 16, ⁢quarterfinals, semifinals, third-place play-off, and the championship final.
