According to Kazanjian-Amory, the tournament’s inclusive structure is a key feature. Daniel Cueva, the Unity Cup’s tournament commissioner, emphasized soccer’s inherent ability to unite people. “soccer is, at it’s root, a unifier for people – competing together, rooting for a unified cause, everybody trying to win and play their best. It’s a natural way for people to come together,” Cueva stated.
