Nikita Mirzani expressed disappointment with PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA), also known as BCA, alleging the bank allowed parties involved in a lawsuit against her to access her account details [[1]]. This statement was made during a hearing regarding allegations of extortion and money laundering (TPPU) at the South Jakarta District Court on Thursday,August 14 [[2]].
Responding to the claims, Hera F. Haryn, EVP Corporate Dialogue & Social Duty at BCA, stated the bank complied with a legal request for data as a witness in the trial [[3]]. She emphasized that BCA, as a financial institution, is obligated to fulfill data requests from law enforcement officials in accordance with Indonesian law.
BCA further affirmed its respect for the ongoing legal process and commitment to maintaining the security and confidentiality of customer data, adhering to all applicable legal provisions [[1]].
The dispute arose during the trial where Nikita questioned Reza Gladys,the plaintiff in the case,about his access to her BCA checking account. Following the hearing, she voiced her dissatisfaction with BCA’s services, especially as a priority customer [[2]]. She claimed her account was improperly accessed, impacting funds intended for payments related to “Comic 8,” endorsements, and singing engagements [[3]].
