Knife Attack in Bad Kleinen: Suspect in Psychiatric Clinic
Bad Kleinen, Germany - November 14, 2025 – A 31-year-old man died Thursday evening following a stabbing attack at a snack bar in Bad Kleinen.Police arrested teh suspect instantly after the incident, and he has since been transferred to a psychiatric clinic for evaluation, according to the public prosecutor’s office.
The attack, reported to police around 6:30 p.m. local time, unfolded when the suspect allegedly stopped the victim and repeatedly stabbed him with a knife. Despite the swift response of nearby officers who overpowered and apprehended the assailant, the victim succumbed to his injuries approximately 45 to 60 minutes after the initial report. The incident has prompted a large-scale inquiry and raised concerns within the local community.
Criminal police are continuing their investigation at the scene. As of late Thursday, a significant police presence remained in Bad Kleinen, with officers establishing a perimeter and erecting a tent in front of the snack bar. Investigators in white protective suits were observed conducting a thorough search of the area, and the adjacent main road was temporarily closed to facilitate the investigation.
