The situation escalated, leading to physical contact. The report states Metcalf grabbed Anthony to tell him to move and Anthony pulled out … a black knife and stabbed Austin once in the chest.

Chief Shilson warned against those who deliberately spread misinformation,hate,fear and division, referencing posts highlighting the racial identities of Metcalf and Anthony. He also indicated his department will investigate the source of the misinformation, possibly leading to third-degree felony charges of impersonation.
