Apple ⁤Boosts iPad ‌Pro, MacBook Pro, and Vision Pro with M5 Chip

CUPERTINO, CA – October 15, 2025 ⁤ – Apple today announced performance upgrades to its iPad Pro and MacBook Pro lines, alongside a refresh of the Vision Pro ⁤headset, all powered by the new M5 chip. The updates signal Apple’s⁢ continued investment in silicon innovation and its commitment​ to enhancing the capabilities of its premium product ecosystem.

The‌ introduction of the M5 chip across‍ these devices represents a significant leap in⁤ processing power and efficiency, impacting creative professionals, power users, and those ​immersed in spatial computing.The ⁣upgrades come as Apple navigates ⁤a shifting landscape in the XR space, recently reported to be prioritizing the ⁤development of smart glasses alongside its existing​ Vision Pro headset.

The M5 chip ⁣delivers a‍ 10% betterment in‌ display rendering for the Vision⁣ Pro, and‍ supports refresh rates up ‍to 120Hz, an increase from the previous 100Hz. Apple states that‍ AI-powered features within the Vision Pro are now 50% faster ‍thanks to the new​ silicon.
