Apple Boosts iPad Pro, MacBook Pro, and Vision Pro with M5 Chip
CUPERTINO, CA – October 15, 2025 – Apple today announced performance upgrades to its iPad Pro and MacBook Pro lines, alongside a refresh of the Vision Pro headset, all powered by the new M5 chip. The M5 chip delivers a 10% betterment in display rendering for the Vision Pro, and supports refresh rates up to 120Hz, an increase from the previous 100Hz. Apple states that AI-powered features within the Vision Pro are now 50% faster thanks to the new silicon. Battery life also sees a boost, extending general use to 2.5 hours and video playback to three hours – a 30-minute improvement over the prior generation.
