Three lions rescued from the war zone in Ukraine have found a latest home at a sanctuary in South Africa, according to Animal Survival International (ASI).
The organization, which operates in the UK, US and South Africa, facilitated the relocation of the animals from the conflict area. ASI has been involved in numerous animal welfare projects, including efforts in August 2023 and January 2024, as detailed on their news feed. The South African sanctuary, located in Westlake, Cape Town, is registered as a tax-exempt charitable institution (PBO Reg No: 2022/391872/08) and allows for tax-deductible donations from South African taxpayers.
Animal Survival International Ltd (Company number: 02565899) is a non-profit organization registered at Companies House in the UK. Its US counterpart, Animal Survival International USA Inc (EIN 88-3049506), is a registered 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization. Donations by mail to the US organization should be made payable to Animal Survival International USA.
ASI notes that contributions support all of its programs and provide flexibility to respond to emerging needs. The organization’s website, animalsurvival.org, provides a point of contact for requests regarding annual tax receipts.
